TASC Specialized Case Management
When people face several overwhelming challenges at once–such as substance use and mental health conditions, poverty, court mandates, and parenting concerns—we know how to help.
TASC is a leading provider of case management services for adults and youth in justice, corrections, and youth and family service systems in Illinois. We serve as a bridge between the referring entity (such as courts or jail) and behavioral healthcare in the community, tying services together for clients until they are able to begin to manage their needs on their own.
What’s unique about TASC case management is our specialized, comprehensive approach.
We not only help our clients understand and
follow the complex requirements of both the referring system and of substance
use or mental health treatment, but we also attend to other aspects of recovery
and wellbeing. Individuals may need assistance in accessing medical care, a
stable living environment, state identification, legitimate income, engagement
in positive endeavors such as school or work, and other support as they work to
rebuild their lives.
We listen and pay attention to what’s needed. In so doing, we help people find renewed health, hope, and purpose.
Evaluations of TASC’s programs show that TASC clients have better outcomes than people who don’t receive TASC case management.
TASC’s adult and juvenile justice clients have significantly greater completion rates for addiction treatment compared to other individuals referred to treatment by justice and corrections systems in Illinois.
Distinct and separate from treatment services, TASC’s specialized case management services are considered a national best practice, as featured in the Adult Drug Court Best Practice Standards.
Based on more than four decades of case management success
in Illinois, we share our expertise nationally and internationally through collaborative
efforts such as the Justice Leaders Systems Change Initiative and international consulting.
In 2019, TASC's specialized case management was the recipient of an Addiction Policy Forum’s Illinois Innovations Now! award.
