TASC’s Center for Health and Justice is a national leader in criminal justice and behavioral health policy.

Our team of experts, in partnership with program leaders, policymakers, and researchers across the country, offers solutions to improve community health, reduce rearrest, and save money.

Research-driven strategies, made for real life

Grounded in four decades of TASC’s direct services in justice and behavioral health, we deliver data-driven strategies and results for local, state, federal, and international bodies.

TASC
TASC (Treatment Alternatives for Safe Communities) offers clinical assessments, case management, and recovery support for thousands of justice-involved adults and youth each year.
CHJ
Established as a division of TASC in 2006, our Center for Health and Justice offers consulting, technical assistance, research, and policy solutions for partners and clients across the globe.
Our Commitment

We are dedicated to creating a healthier, safer, and more just society. Our work falls into four key areas of focus and expertise:

Deflect and divert people out of the justice system
and into communitybased services, as soon as appropriate.
Create pathways for successful community reentry
after justice involvement, and reduce barriers that inhibit success.
Promote evidence-based strategies
in substance use and mental health disorder prevention, treatment, and recovery.
Expand community capacity
to treat mental health and substance use disorders, ensuring access and equity for marginalized communities.
Our Team

Our leadership philosophy is to help others excel. From direct services at local levels to national and international consulting, our aim is for people and organizations to be successful long after we complete our collaborative work.
