Maureen McDonnellAs Senior Director for Health & Justice, Maureen McDonnell works at the intersection of public health, criminal justice, treatment and human service systems by building partnerships and coalitions that generate substantial change. 

Maureen has led active systems planning processes in large jurisdictions nationally as well as in Illinois. Her experience includes developing Medicaid enrollment in jails and prisons, organizing services at jail release and prison re-entry and building drug and mental health court programs. She gained significant expertise in medication assisted treatment, community substance use treatment, crisis services, hospital-based overdose interventions, and Medicaid financing while serving as Executive Director of PEER Services. 

Maureen earned her BA in Economics from Northwestern University and her Masters Degree in Public Health at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
