As a Program Manager specializing in Communications and Outreach Adrianne Lee works to develop communications marketing, civic outreach and community engagement consulting, strategies, and tools as part of the Bureau of Justice Assistance Second Chance Act Corrections and Community Engagement Training and Technical Assistance Center. Adrianne collaborates with her fellow program managers on projects that support coaching and grantee projects.
Adrianne is a research scientist by training and has a passion for science policy and communication, advocacy, and community engagement. She previously worked with a workplace advocacy nonprofit seeking to make employee agreements more transparent and equitable.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a biochemistry focus during which she performed research on forgotten diseases. She was active in special interest lobbying for basic science research funding and community outreach programs. She has a Master of Science in Cell biology and Regenerative Medicine and has presented her work for conferences at local, state and national levels.
