NIJ/RAND

CHJ is part of a National Institute of Justice (NIJ) Police Deflection research study. In this effort, TASC’s Center for Health and Justice works in partnership with the RAND Corporation and the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority (ICJIA).

The research project is a multi-site, outcome evaluation of “Self- Referral” programs, as defined by the Police, Treatment, and Community Collaborative’s (PTACC) five treatment pathways, in which police stations serve as an access point for individuals in need of assistance in obtaining substance use disorder treatment and services.
